My motto for the deployment

This sign cracks me up. I know it is kind of cheesy, but I found it for $2.99 at Ross. You are probably thinking, "Why in the world do you shop at Ross." Well the shopping options on Guam are meek and Ross is considered one of the best places to shop.

I found this sign the day that Andrew left for his deployment. I thought it was perfect. "Happy is what we make it." I could be ho-hum about this deployment and just look at the negatives. I could focus on everything that the hubby is missing. But then it would be a miserable 6 months and I don't think I would have any friends because no one would want to be around a debbie-downer. So this sign reminds me everyday. To be happy. Life is what we make of it. I am going to choose to laugh, smile, and enjoy each and everyday during this deployment. I think I will be a better friend and mom to the people around me. It is not only a good reminder for deployments, but also military life in general.
