Point Loma Saturdays

This was our memorial day saturday.  The weather was perfect.  About 75 with a nice sea breeze, and only a few may grey clouds in sight. So we decided to drag our lazy bums up to point loma, take some pictures and take in the sights.  You could see the green kelp beds laying offshore, and the boats, just meandering slowly through, trying to find where the fish were hiding.  There were also the typical californian surfers dodging the rocks trying to find the perfect wave.  And, the tourists taking in the scenes from where we were as well as down in the tide-pools at the base of the point.  Now i don't know what sounds more picturesque.  Too bad we didn't post the pictures of the great view. (turns out you need a much more expensive zoom than what we wanted to pay for to show you guys.  so again we are sorry you are not getting as good a california picture because we are cheap.)

If you look very carefully in this photo, you can see the hotel del coronado.  You can't see our house because it is way to small, but that's where we live!  Terrible, i know.  It seemed every sailboat in san diego was out saturday, so we squeezed one into the frame to show you.

And before we left, I snagged another picture of my favorite pregnant mommy.  ps doesn't her husband have excellent taste getting her those sunglasses for mother's day?

But this is the belly about 2 months out.  I think she is the cutest pregnant lady in san diego. Did i already say that?...

Red Bull Air Races

This past weekend we went to the Red Bull Air Races. Our friends got a sweet viewing spot. A pier right on the Coronado Bay. It turned out to be a great time. The party started at 10am and we got back home at 10pm. Most of the people there are going to be going to Guam, so it was nice to get to know everyone better. Andrew was the grill master and my rum cake was a hit!

Baby Shower Time

While I was up in Annapolis, my mom had a baby shower for me! It was wonderful to see everyone!  Thank you all for all the support you have given me:) Thank you all who came

Baby McD got some great gifts! Lots of yellow and green:) I had so much fun opening all the gifts. I will have to say I am going to have to educate myself on baby items. I referred to a teether as a chew toy. I guess you can tell I am a first time mom

Matt and Fallan came up from North Carolina. It was so good to see Cross again:) He is so stinkin cute and he knows it. It was a joy to meet Camden Jo for the first time. She is a beautiful. Cross is going to be such a sweet older brother

Nana with Camden!

Nana and all the grand kids. They are all so precious:) Getting this picture was hilarious. Just imagine trying to get 4 kiddos under the age of 3 to all look at the camera at the same time.

Annapolis for a weekend

Andrew and I were lucky enough to be able to go to a friend's wedding in Annapolis. It also gave us a great excuse to visit friends and family in Annapolis. It was a great visit, but I think both of us were exhausted by the end of the weekend from all the festivities. I think Andrew and his friends enjoyed having a DD! Lucky me!

The newlyweds Ensign and Mrs. Nick Marston! Andrew was part of the sword arch.

Andrew and Sean enjoying the food and drinks at the reception! They will be friends forever!

The Helicopter and Pilot

If we do this to our dog, I already feel bad for our kids:) Buck is one good looking doggie pilot.

Andrew's hard work these past 2 months finally paid off. This week he started flying the 60 Sierra (for those of you who talk military, MH-60S). I have affectionally started calling it his 2nd wife. He spends more time studying/flying/dreaming about the 60S then spending time with me.
This  is last saturday.  I was on watch, but we decided to go to the beach on base.  it was a nice relaxing weekend.  I even managed to snag a picture of the elusive pregnant belly.  (Picture my best Steve Irwin, crocodile hunter, accent).  I had to use all my cunning and jungle-tiger-hunting skills, or else the belly might have got me.  Luckily I managed to photograph the most rare of beach animals, the Kate's pregnant belly. ssshhh dont tell.

Kate was tired and hot.  So was Buck.  I didn't know who looked more pathetic so I took pictures of both (just to show you guys). And.. this is our sole surviving couch.  The old bachelor, a.k.a. the notorious "fifteen dolla couch," didn't make it here in our little house, the "love-shack."    So enjoy some pictures

Buck's Weekend Out

This happens every time we take Buck to dog-beach and let him off his leash.
(so it costs 30.00 bucks to just be able to rotate the video, sorry we are cheap and hope your neck feels better from watching the video sideways).
This is Buck's favorite place to be while at the beach.  He loves charging head first into the waves, and of course terrorizing every dog, dog-owner, and beach bum on dog-beach.

We took Buck hiking on Saturday morning(/middle of the day/scorchingly hot/Andrew got burned and Kate didn't because she used more suntan lotion a.k.a. "smarter")  out at Mission Trails Park.  We hiked about 2 miles before all three of us were too hot due to poor planning (one water bottle for the three of us)

And, finally, after all his running, playing, and hiking, Buck is a very tired dog.
